I decided to play around a little with the camera and I took this video of my 1959 Magnavox TV and record player. The picture quality isn't the greatest, but at least you get the idea for the most part.

Looks and sounds

really good!
Remember when that song played on every juke box! and I started to wonder where Ann was, and why she was in a sanitarium. *LOL*

Wow great picture. you must have rebuilt the unit to look that good. Love the stereo turntable. Sound is great out of these old units. What took me be surprise is the duck tv light on top. I have the same one passed down from my aunt and uncle. These were sold by magnavox and zenith dealers in the 50's and 60's. They were made to have a low watt bulb and direct the light to the back. I guess this was to take the strain off of the eyes while watching tv in a dark room. They were placed on the top of the tv. I will usually fill the space in the front with silk flowers of the season. Cabinet looks in great condition also.

I love her, sadly she passed away in 2000. Your set looks and sounds great, typical Magnavox! I also like the ivory colored knobs in the lacquerred cabinet, that's an elegant touch. I'm glad you got the ad, the accessories on the top give it that new in the living room look as well.
