    Help Identify Hotpoint Sink Dishwasher

ahh- I like the metal cabinets.  I don't know why, I think it just harkens back to the 19---50s,60s and earlier.   Look at this pic.  The door, the wood cabinet from the early 1900s, the exposed plumbing vent pipe, the rickety floor.   The only thing sterilizing this pic is the white paint. ...

YAY! CALM Act takes effect Thursday

Commercials are one of the reasons I decided never to watch raw television.  I would always record the show on a digital recorder, go back and remove the commercials, then watch the program.  If it was a 1/2 show, it took me about 4 minutes to remove the commercials and that left about 21-22...

It's OK MickeyD, the end of the world isn't for a few more days.  The aliens had to go fix a broken hydrogen line before they can spend time torturing the earthlings.

    Today's Little Project

Thanks for the information. I kind of suspected that. I've done a little research on that and that is what I've found, too. I want to keep the water from clogging my appliances AND I want soft water. The compact, electronic system would be nice, but, it won't work for me. It is just myself...

Having an R.O. system is an excellent product. Once you get a water softener, it will help keep the filters in the R.O. system from plugging up as quick as they will.

    1-18 or what?

the BOL Frigidaires always seem to have the white knobs. The others usually had the chrome knobs. Frigidaire always seemed like such a quality machine, well built anyway, that how could there be a cheap version.

    no more DIAL-UP !!!

Wow, dial up. When was the last time? I think it was 1999 for me. But, in the U.S. we lack internet connections for everyone compared to other countries. It's just another example of how the U.S. is falling behind technologically. And the speed in the U.S. is slower, compared to other...

    Sisters....sisters...

I don't know that it's a DAMN kitchen These church kitchens don't get that much service, maybe once a week.   So they can age quite well.  Especially if they have several pair of hands polishing and caring for them.

    Today's Little Project

HARD water is not fun. I couldn't live with out a softener. Have you considered a water softener. Maybe your living situation has limits. They make small water softeners that don't take up much space. As for cleaning aerators, soaking in vinegar over night or even for a few days is a...

    craigslist hint

I've seen Kenpool washer, with a picture of a GE. washer next to a Whirlpool dryer.    ?   I called an antique store once, and this young woman, sounded like she was still in high school, answered "Bradleys Ann-T-Ques".  I was like, did I dial wrong, what, a, what.  ?

    Frigidaire Control Tower!

These are a unique design, for sure. Have there been issues with the timer console coming loose? It just seems like the metal is all one piece, cast iron or aluminum.  bumping it the wrong way, I would think it would snap off.  Even moving the machine, I would be afrain of bumping that...

    Whirlpool DD or BD ?

The set I bought my parents had the Extra Rinse toggle to the right of the timer, just as shown in the picture.  I had never seen that and thought it was rather unique.  She had that pair for 10 years with only one repair to the washer basket, which came loose from the spin tube.
