    German Persil

Aaron: I hope you are fortunate enough to locate some German Persil. Our dear Jetcone (Jon) sent some to me recently and it's great! It has a very pleasant scent and does a super job on whites. If you can't locate it in Brazil, try Argentina! They also had waves of Germans emmigrate during and...

    Keyplate Washing!!!

Sorry, I can't read English! LOL Thanks Darrel! Actually, I think my post got stuck between Mike's posts; just a timing problem. LOL Now that I see the labeling on the slots and the internal pic showing the "slot to nowhere", it makes sense!

    Washing Disaster

Louis! I love that 3-M Lint Roller! It got the plaid right off of that ghastly shirt! I'm getting one today to see if I can roll off those unsightly frown lines! ;-)

    Keyplate Washing!!!

Wow! That is so cool Mike! I never really paid attention to the keys before. So, all you have to do is rotate them to change washing programs. How exactly does the key work. i.e. does touch something like a circuit or push something that then makes contact with wires? What does the underside of...

    Washing Disaster

A Picky Subject... Well Jon, I guess it depends if the socks are "pilled" or if the lint is just the "Clingon" variety. I'd stick them in the dryer again. Most of the lint should come off and gently land in your dryer filter. If the lint won't budge...try washing them again (separately). If...

    What Camp are you in?

I Prefer Branch Frigidiarian, but.... The practical me is Maytagonian with Kenmorian tendencies. However since I am an overfilliac, I do let my Kelvinatorian side loose every once in a while.

    NEW TIMER DISCOVERY -CRAMER

Jon, you got some 'splainin' to do! Well, I asked a ditzy question of the keymatic keys, so I'll ask one of the timers... Did Cramer make timers for any other washers/appliances? If you absolutely, positively had to replace the timer on the Bendix, could you use another type; like the...

Made in Deutschland, German washer pic thread

OK all you Keymatic fans.... Whether they be German or English, what is the consequence of losing the key? Are they interchangeable with similar brands, e.g. all Hoover keys fit all Hoover Keymatics? Could you go into an appliance store and buy one? Sorry for the ditzy query, but I've been...

    What is THIS? Mystery Object.

Well Bob, I agree with Ken. Must be some kind of meat or dough ball roller. Is lucite heat resistant? This may add a clue as to what it can handle.

The Passing of Perc-o-Prince's (Rich's) Grandfather

Rich and Chuck: I am so very sorry. I knew of your grandfather's deteriorating health a while back. Rich, you have been a wonderful grandson for the special bond you shared and the tender care you gave him. I pray he is at peace and rejoined with those he loved and lost. Hugs to you both Venus

Made in Deutschland, German washer pic thread

Wow! I can't say enough about European machines, both vintage and modern! Louis, what kind of cycle selections did that pushbutton Constructa have? I have never seen so many choices!! Fredricksam: How old is that "super super old Constructa"? I thought only Hoover had a keymatic type control...

Finally! A butch Crock Pot!!! ;-)

I can't see what the settings are. I know that most crock pot recipes call for about 8-9 hours on a low setting. Maybe this automatically goes to a warm setting after 8 hours. I love the brick exterior. I've never seen one like it.

Does Ariel or Ace Powder have.....

Hey Ralph! Shane said he used 1/3 cup in the front loader. Ace is detergent. I have seen two flavours; the regular and the Acti-Blu. It comes in about a 1 kg bag at my local grocery store and sells for less than $2.00. It's basically Mexican Tide detergent. I really like it and use it often. I...
