STPP or phosphates? Bought my first box of ACE and have to say at $1.99, it's quite a great value! Smells awesome too!

Whoa....

Hey Shane!

You bought a "box" of ACE? I've never seen it in boxes before! I know that the bagged ACE sold here does have phosphates. Did you get the Acti-blu? The citrus-y scent is terrific! The price is right, and (don't tell anyone), but it's really Tide! ;-) - yeah, we knew that. LOL

where'd ya get it?

hopefully it's coming to my burg

let us know how sudsy it is

have you noticed

more mexican products smell good, then don't?

Venus~ yes, I bought it at a spanish grocery store. I was thinking the same thing about it being Tide. I just love it!
Oxy~ if you would like some I would be happy to send.

Venus,Oxy...Time for cake with Gary and Steve..I'll bring the Eight O'Clock coffee..reg or decaf???

yes, it's acti-blu Ace....so excited! works great in the LG front loader too! 1/3 a cup does the trick.

here, they sell it in bags

it IS economical, in my soft water

i save the big guns for the hardcore schmutz

I've never heard of it

Is it detergent or a booster? Where might I find it? I have never noticed it at Kroger or Walmart which is really about all I have to choose from here. I have a front loader and curious to know how much I should use. I think it was mentioned in this thread but I can't look backwards at the moment to see. LOL

Hey Ralph!

Shane said he used 1/3 cup in the front loader. Ace is detergent. I have seen two flavours; the regular and the Acti-Blu. It comes in about a 1 kg bag at my local grocery store and sells for less than $2.00. It's basically Mexican Tide detergent. I really like it and use it often. I have never seen it at Wal-Mart or any of the dollar stores around here. You may be able to find it at Kroger. If you can't, just drop me an e-mail and I'll send a bag your way.

Ralph-- If you have very soft water, 1/3 of a cup of Ace (or Ariel, for that matter) may produce a lot of suds. I'd start with 1/4 cup. If your water isn't soft, then you shouldn't have any problems with 1/3 of a cup.

All like several Mexican detergents---Ace, Ariel and Viva; They're sudsy, but have great scents. I tend to use them in my TL more often than the FL, where suds isn't an issue.

Ace "does" everything?

Some years ago I found a copy of IT FLOATS: The Story of Procter and Gamble by Albert Lief in a local library. The book was published in 1958, and in the chapter on P & G's international expansion, he wrote that Tide was one of the first P & G detergents exported to Latin America--and the name underwent "a sea change" as Ace laundry detergent (pronounced "AH-say")...and sounds similar to "hace," a Spanish verb that means the same thing as "does"...as in Duz...

I have seen Ace bags in Big Lots stores in Illinois that copy the Tide orange bulls-eye motif, so of the two, Ace is more Tide than Ariel...
