Had this EXACT issue (and remember posting about it too) With my WFW72HEDW a year back. It would ramp up, then stop. The fix I found was strange but made sense. Unplug the machine and remove the top panel, locate the wire which comes out of the stator and plugs into the board, at both ends...

This video was GREAT! I've always wanted to see WSSR machines in action. The sprays are nice and long and appear to be way more effective than today's spray rinses on today's top loaders. If anything, I really hope WP reintroduces these units.

Front loaders are the way to go nowadays, before switching to a FL i owned a WP DD top load for 14 years. I was skeptical at first, but our new two year old FL cleans better than our old machine ever did.

The dryer is definitely worth getting, all it needs is a new heater and they are not at all that expensive, and very easy to replace.

We pretty much all know of the newer GE top loaders with the agitator. I came across two videos of these newer GE's performing. One of them is the bigger 4.2cf top load and the other is the lower end 3.8cf. I must say, the wash performance on the 3.8cf...is hell impressive. I really can't argue...

My assumption is its due to the low quality plastics and metals being used...Our 4.2cf WP FL weighs 244 pounds.

EDIT Your model, the WM3670HWA, is the revised model of the WM3370HWA which was at 4.3 CF, does not offer the Turbowash option.
