Jason L - These Pics are for You

Does anyone have a pic of the pentaswirl agitator? That is the one I was thinking about, I believe that they were white. These LK's are one of my most favorite washers of all time, I used to love going into Sears as a boy and looking at them, the triple dispenser was awesome!

What years are the Kenmore's? How long was the veriflex agitator made I don't remember it? Didn't these machines have a white agitator in'73 or so with a triple dispensor? What was that agitator?

Whirlpool ends Production of KitchenAid Toploaders

I cleaned the dryer vent tubing out about a month ago, at that time it was taking 2-3 hours to dry a load. The 1-2 hours it takes now is the same as from the day I bought it brand new. I use the automated sensor part and it takes 1-2 cycles depending on what you are drying. The timed cycle...

Whirlpool ends Production of KitchenAid Toploaders

I have a superba pair purchased Jan of 1997. The washer has the aformentioned rust starting. It has been repaired twice, a plastic part in the drive line broke twice. My repair person said it is a commonly broken part on WP made direct drives. The bleach dispenser sucks; it holds bleach and...

    1960's? Kenmore Pic's

OK, so how long was this agitator produced before the gold colored ones came out? The gold ones didn't ever have a scrubber top or detergent cup did they? Another thread shows the angled sliding cover model with the gold agitator, but I believe my neighbor's had the black one shown above. Trying...

A new "Spin" on Holiday Lights

Why did manufacturers stop making light control panels? It would seem to be a nice convenience. Does anyone know when the last light ones were made and what brand?

    1960's? Kenmore Pic's

What a beautiful set!!! What was the last year for the "pregnant" rotoswirl? These were the ones with the scrubber top and measuring cup cover weren't they? My neighbor had Kenmore with the angled sliding cover control panel that I swear had that agitator, but maybe I am wrong.

Heads Up! Neat Whirlpool Washer In Ohio

This was a very popular model in it's time. I knew several people that had this model. I would say it is middle of the range for that era.

    Norge washer

One reason Norge may have been an also ran is the noise. Our Wards version was noiser yet; easily the noiser washer I have ever heard.

    Norge washer

your exactly right, our filter used to end up in the tub alot, yes it did go at the 12:00 position, I forgot the water came in a different place. I used to love watching this machine wash as the water flowed through the filter. I still wish I could determine that washers age. I do know we...

    Norge washer

I am guessing ours was about a 1963, but I am not sure. Was the burpilator only on the upper models? Like I said before, ours had a tray type filter below the water inlet. Ours was also probably a lesser model than the one in the ad; 3 water levels, 3 temps, 2speed. Has anyone seen this set up?

    Norge washer

found similar in previous POD, this is similar to what we had, but no agitator lint filter, ours may have been a few years older. Does anyone have any idea what model year this ad is? I have yet to see the dryer we had, it was older than the washer.

    Norge washer

Similar; the agitator was the same except it had a black twist top like the burpilators, but the controls were clear plastic. I think ours was slightly older than the Signature in your picture.

    Norge washer

Does anyone have any info on the Norge washer/dryer I grew up with? The washer had a black agitator and the lint filter was a basket that attached in the back of the tub below the water inlet. The dryer had a push button next to the door to open it. It was quite convienient since you could open...

    sears kenmore dryer

Were there other models with this hidden panel? My neighbor had one similar to this with a black agitator(unknown which model)that had a stain scrubber top on it and a detergent measuring cup that fit over the scrubber top.
