Hi Graham
I would guess it is about a 1963 or 1964. Look at the model number. The first two digits after the shaded 110 should be the year.

It's cool, but still not as cool as the 61 WP.

Congratulations dude!

Robert had a beautiful set of these in turquoise he had found and later sold. I believe his was 1963, it may have also been offered in 62 and 64. It does have a pregnant roto swirl and self cleaning filter. Neat machine! The matching dryer had Soft Heat and a full width door.

Now that I think of it, I know I've seen these with a pregnant roto swirl, but Robert's may have had a regular roto swirl, which would indicate that it was offered more than one year. We're in the right range of years anyway! Congrats on a nice find and I hope you'll find the pointer knob!

That washer is also in the Sears winter 1965 sales catalog I

as well as the Spring 1963 catalog I have. The matching Soft Heat Dryer in 1963 had the mini hamper door NOT the full with door. In 1963 this washer was one step down from the Lady K.

Beautiful

NOTHING like a 60s Kenmore. Such wonderfulness.

I think I remember my grandma's 1963? 600 used to do a cool=down in WnW but it didn't agitate. It just kicked into low speed drain and then after reset, it filled, the timer clicked a notch and when full, it agitated, and then it repeated. Kinda like the late 60s fill/agitate without the agitate.

hmmmm

Hey There, I dug through my "box-o-knobs" and found the dial but it is for the dryer. There is not set screw or anything to hold it onto the shaft, which you will need as the dial pulls out. If this could work you could have it but I don't see how it would!

Note that the knobs for most of these screw on. This machine appears to only need a knob as the dial face is on the panel. The knobs are fairly common and a knob/pointer that looks stock can easily be improvised.

BTW: This machine is a classic period machine, much better than the Whirlpool that was cited above.

lid hinge protector?

I had the misfortune of plaving the washer on the wrong side of my truck bed so that the washer door swung up and over and broke both plastic hinge protectors that keep the door from opening all the way. Does anyone know where to get these? I need to for a 63 Kenmore Washer!! It also chipped the porcelain. I could kick myself in the ass...AHHHHHH. Any ideas? Thanks a bunch guy's, youre the best

Oh you mean this...

Yay, I'm glad you posted the picture. I knew I had it around here somewhere and could not find it. Such a wonderful set.

What a beautiful set!!! What was the last year for the "pregnant" rotoswirl? These were the ones with the scrubber top and measuring cup cover weren't they?
My neighbor had Kenmore with the angled sliding cover control panel that I swear had that agitator, but maybe I am wrong.

OK, so how long was this agitator produced before the gold colored ones came out? The gold ones didn't ever have a scrubber top or detergent cup did they? Another thread shows the angled sliding cover model with the gold agitator, but I believe my neighbor's had the black one shown above. Trying to determine what year hers was.
