What would be your dream vintage washer dryer that you would like to own again as daily drivers ?

No Hot Rinse... Barry, Bob is right - no HOT rinse option on this machine. Here is a close up of the buttons taken when I had them removed from the machine. Patrick

Sandy! Thank you for the nice compliment. I have been using the set you mention as my 'in the house' daily drivers as of late. They are quite spectacular machines. Patrick

3 GM frigidaires home and running

Mark - I too share your love for the 1-18's. Large capacity, great rinsing, and decent spin speed make these work horses. It's always nice to find ones where someone took good care of them. Patrick

    Kenmore BD set

Yes, I am curious about the Toyota relationship as well. I must have been asleep when this happened. I know, were these machines made from crushed Toyota's? LOL Patrick

3 GM frigidaires home and running

Congrats Great new machines you got Mark. Sounds like the 1-18 needs a new tub seal or the base plate gasket needs to be replaced and resealed. Ask me how I know! Love the matched set and the clamshell dryer. Very nice! Patrick

Early 90's Whirlpool top freezer getting way too cold!

I had a top freezer refrigerator that had similar symptoms you describe. I let it completely thaw for a day with the doors open and everything worked beautifully for about a week until I saw frost on the freezer coils through the back vent openings in the freezer. It turned out the defrost...

GASP! Could this be a match for one of my Kenmore washers?

Thanks Phil, I am usually a true blue Frigidaire guy but these turquoise LK's were too good to pass up. It's all about the color and the lighted consoles! Patrick

GASP! Could this be a match for one of my Kenmore washers?

David, Yes, bring that detergent over and we'll do some washing. Hopefully you wont be hypnotized into a trance from the woo-woo sound! Those 1-18's that were in the house are facing the corner in punishment for being disobedient! LOL Patrick

GASP! Could this be a match for one of my Kenmore washers?

Hi Bob! Yes, RCD's washer was coppertone but otherwise exact same one. Thanks for the compliment and good to say hi to you. Patrick

GASP! Could this be a match for one of my Kenmore washers?

Paul I have that exact dryer along with the matching washer. They are 1966 models. These are really nice machines and built like tanks. They weigh as much as a tank too! I am currently using these in the house right now as I've started rotating machines in and out just for the fun factor...

All things "Avocado"; a thread dedicated to the long lived color...

Here's another! It's a Frigidaire set from Bewitched in avocado. Would have loved to see those machines operating with the washer lid open during an episode. Enjoy!

PhilR... oops! I wonder if I'm going color blind? I see now where your 1-18's are harvest gold but maybe it's the lighting in the picture too. Nice conversion on the dryer and glad that worked out for you. I took mine completely apart, replaced the rear felt seal and cleaned out the lint...

PhilR... Thank you for dropping my name! I just love your loaded with options TOL avocado 1-18 set. I always wanted to find one with the lighted console but have never run across them. Here is a picture of my 1968 rollermatic set for Bill. Patrick

    Filter Flo Nation

It's interesting... that in this last incarnation the control panel doesn't say "Filter-Flo" anywhere. Very beautiful machine and you did good leaving it intact. Great job on the painting of the rear panel too. I like your idea of preservation. Enjoy! Patrick

Here is one of my 1-18 sets in avocado. I like to tell people they are "sage green". Very trendy you know!
