Now that I would like to see! Hope to catch up with that commercial soon. As of late, we could use more color in the laundry room for sure.

    Lets talk detergents!!!

I have never had the chance to try Sears detergent, but would like to. Here all we seem to use is Cheer. It's ok, but I think there is better out there. I am a Tide guy myself, but my wife won't use it. That's primarily my 2 favorites. Haven't used All or Surf in years, liked the smell of Surf...

    Thrill Dishwashing Liquid

Welcome State-line Glad to have you here. Several of our members live in the Carolinas as you can see. Didn't Bonus have towels like Breeze did? Palmolive seemed a tad rough to me too. I have taken to washing with rubber gloves what little I hand wash.

    Heating Oil vs gas

hydronic systems one definite advantage to hydronic systems is that the absence of blowing air makes for a healthier household. And some systems will supply the hot water for the household. Their are 2 ways to go for air conditioning; chilled water or 2) a self-contained separate A/C unit. As...

    Heating Oil vs gas

I have read on a site on the net that heating oil has a higher heat output that gas does. Maybe that's why we find it way up north more than anywhere else. I know that many places didn't have gas service, so this was the fuel of choice. How many of you use Heating oil? I also didn't know that...

Don't forget Ann Page My Mom was a A&P shopper extrordinaire. Absolutely no store could compare! A&P will always be dear to my heart as it was the tie that bound my mother and her sister. They didn't agree on much of anything ever, but both loved A&P. Thank God

    What happend to detergent tablet's

If I remember correctly, these salvo and vim tablets were all the rage in the early 60's. I can remember my Mom using vim for a while and the lady across the street using salvo. Mom didn't use it very long because the tablets didn't dissolve very well-somethimes they did sometimes they didn't. I...

new washer dryer combo or separates

Let me get this straight- About combos sold here in the states. Why would anyone want a combo that uses 110-120v instead of 220-240v? I can't think of what one would be like other than having an extremely long drying time. If that's ok with the buyer of the machine then so be it. I would want...

    Thrill Dishwashing Liquid

Now that was a very nice dishsoap Rose lotion Vel-made by colgate-palmolive. Back in the 60's, I experimented around with different ones since we were without a dishwasher for a few years. I enjoyed the clean fragrance and the good results. NOW- Does anyone remember Chiffon dish detergent? It...

    Thrill Dishwashing Liquid

dishsoaps Mr. cleanjeans- I remember Swan( swan keeps sudsing and sudsing and sudsing-as the 1961 ad went). Lost track of it for a while-reintroduced in the mid-late 60's. Then it had a pearly green color. Disappeared sometime later. I saw a magazine ad for swan soap on one of those year of...

Day 2, the great buffalo hunt

Found Frigidaire dryer and maytag were gone-think someone may have moved out of the mobile home. I am leaning now towards talking to Chris about one of the solid tub SQs he has. Want to look at them and decide. Ge ffs and center dial maytags seem fairly plentiful right now around here. 70's thru...

    2 washers and 2 dryers.

here is my laundry room off the master bedroom We had this designed when we built the house to avoid those long trips to a laundry romm which may have located next to the garage. You don't keep your clothes in the garage, so why should you do laundry there?

    Thrill Dishwashing Liquid

We do at the shops Joy is a good all around car wash detergent. Cuts the bug spatter quite well which is important around here and won't hurt the finish. You can buy the professional carwash soap which is fine if one needs the extra quantity but all in all Joy excels. WHAT YOU SHOULD NEVER USE...

    AGA Cookers (ranges/stoves=> US)

Whereas Beautiful and Interesting... and expensive, I would pass on this even if I could afford it. I would rather own an old reconditioned Chambers or O'Keefe and Merritt than anything else, followed by a classic, fat coiled electric Frigidaire or GE/Hotpoint. If I could I would have a super...

Yes, I agree Lawrence, Ivory ultra isn't the old ivory liquid. And unlike the old, the ultra seems slimy to me. I use Dawn and use Joy to wash the cars-that's what the pros use
