Hobart Presents: The KitchenAid Energy Saver V Dishwashers - 16mm Film

Dan, I've mentioned many times over the years to friends, online, etc., about Corporate Greed and corruption, and how it's been an annoying and costly thorn on the consumer's butt. This extends into virtually every sector of our world, including the healthcare and Big Pharma. I hope to live...

    KDS-20 Leak

On mine, a few years ago, the hose clamp on the water discharge hose let loose a bunch of water on the floor and made its way to the basement. UGH!.... what a mess! I put the hose back on with a smear of Permatex "red" gasket seal and tightened the clamp. - job done! Last spring, another leak...

So if one had to buy a washing machine

Speaking of vacuums.... I've got two 1980's Eureka Uprights. A "Boss" model and a Commercial model. I got for free off my neighbor a Hoover Windtunnel "Steerable" upright that he was going to trash it, saying it doesn't work. Well, it works great now to clean up the basement rugs once I cleaned...

Betty is Back with another Full Cycle Video the '49 ABC-O-Matic

Yes, those fau guests show that Robert's got a cool sense of humor. I suppose including John Waters "Lady Divine" would be a bit much to include, making the video "For mature Audiences" rated. 😮

Hobart Presents: The KitchenAid Energy Saver V Dishwashers - 16mm Film

I can easily feel the warm air blowing against my legs out of that spot between the bottom of the door and the service panel if I'm wearing shorts, and standing in front of the DW to access the microwave on the counter above it. As for that "drop of water" you mentioned... and that re-install...

    IFA 2025

With all the global greed and corruption going on, I refuse to be convinced as to "claims" on products. Just because "they say" it, doesn't mean it's true. Call me a skeptic, I don't care.

So if one had to buy a washing machine

That's why my repair shop did a brisk business in vintage repairs. Indeed, customers came in with modern stuff that was known for their breaking down, but when I advertised repairs-restorations of vintage stuff, I got a never ending flood so big i had to put people on a waiting list.

Hobart Presents: The KitchenAid Energy Saver V Dishwashers - 16mm Film

Thanks for that info. Yes, my KDC-19 uses a simple air blower at the end of cycle. However, it's not an issue with me, because I load things properly, insuring that everything is mounted to drain properly without pooling. For instance, glasses, cups, pot lids, etc., are all tilted to keep water...

So if one had to buy a washing machine

What I've noticed over the years (45+ years in the electronics repair/sales business) is that products have increasingly become more trouble-prone, less reliable, and in many cases having shortcuts and/or cost-cutting issues. As opposed to products designed and produced decades ago. I strongly...

Hobart Presents: The KitchenAid Energy Saver V Dishwashers - 16mm Film

Thanks! Quite an interesting video for sure! I'm curious though, about your mention of the "sins" of the model 19. I'd like more information about that from you, please. I own a Kitchenaid-Hobart Energy Saver IV model KDC-19, a simple machine, which only has a rotary timer, and 2 pushbutton...

Betty is Back with another Full Cycle Video the '49 ABC-O-Matic

Thanks Robert, for that highly amusing video. Amazing how you managed to create those voices... Betty, Gladys, etc. Did you use some sort of A.I. to accomplish that?

Maytag Ensignia Washer Makes Grinding and Knocking Sounds Only During Agitation

Yeah, all my window air conditioners are labeled "GE", but with the internal guts all labeled "LG". So now, I'm nicknaming them "LGE" products.

    Kenmore Toast set.

The softener dispenser that I have sits on the Dual Action agitator, once you take that top cap off. Likely there are pictures of it on washer parts websites. This is the one I have that fits that dual action agitiator...

Maytag Ensignia Washer Makes Grinding and Knocking Sounds Only During Agitation

A Maytag eh? Gotta love new appliances, they're built like Sh!t nowadays. I'm getting 40+ years out of my old Maytag which runs like new, and quiet too.

Dishwashers losing popularity in US Homes???

I read that article, and conclude that it's just propoganda, spiced up with a decent helping of bullcrap. If anything is going to increase sales of any appliance made these days, it's because they need replacing much more frequently because the stuff is made like a teenager's high school project...

    American tube radios...

Thanks! Indeed it gives that "old" look, but with a tidbit of "modern" to it.
