At the moment I am using Persil Colour for colours and Ariel for whites n lights. I buy it from a local british import shop. I bought a big 90 wash box of persil colour as most of my loads of laundry are coloured. I wash a white load perhaps once every 3 weeks and that is made up of my kitchen...

You don't see many from this generation of Australian Hoovermatics around much. Its always made me wonder why in the UK they made put a a fill port into the machine that filled the wash side and auto rinsed the spin side, yet in Australia they just punched a slotted hole into the spinner lid...

The machine does have a hot wash option. Basically it blows heated air onto the recirculating stream of water, somehow heating it. This is what i got from the manual anyway :-) That manual sure is hefty!

Hey Hey When I got my Hoovermatic it had a lagging wash action too, it used to get clogged up so easy. All i did was buy a replacement wash belt of Ebay and put that on, now the washer side is good as new, turns over nice and fast. You will soon figure out the loading of it. 4-5 t-shirts...
