My New Beko WMB81641LC Washer :-)

The screen is simple and neat looking. A bit hard to see sometimes if the sun is coming through my laundry door window directly onto it but nothing that pulling the vertical blinds across can't fix. ...

My New Beko WMB81641LC Washer :-)

It has a good range of cycles, I like having a few options when it comes to cycles. So far i've used the Daily/Quick the most as it is very effective and can be used at any temperature including 90 degrees :-)

My New Beko WMB81641LC Washer :-)

Hi Guys, I have just recieved delivery of a new machine, a Beko WMB81641LC Brushless, 1600rpm 8KG washer. I bought it after the Electrolux decided it wanted to fry its control board, probably not helped by the fact that we never turn it off on the machine and leave it permanently in a state of...

    What's with the quick wash?

I have just bought a Beko washer to replace my Electrolux. Im very very happy with it so far and have only used the Daily/Quick cycle so far. The great thing about this cycle is you can wash in any temperature and it adjusts the time accordingly but never exceeding an hour. I think the longest...

Latest Fisher and Paykel front loaders with Keymatic wash plate...

Ive got a feeling after watching that animation above that the 'paddle' on the back of the wash tub is not a paddle at all its just part of the design of the drum and has no real function. The 'Vortex' wash system will most likely be as the animation showed above, a series of distribution...

Latest Fisher and Paykel front loaders with Keymatic wash plate...

Its meant to be antibacterial and prevent mould from growing on it. My friend has one and hers is covered in mould. Mind you she washes in cold water on a quick wash and can leave the washing in the machine for a few days before its hung out, then she closes the door between uses. Perfect...

Latest Fisher and Paykel front loaders with Keymatic wash plate...

Hi Guys, Me and the UK boys were discussing these when I was over there in August. Fisher and Paykel Australia have just launched a new range of great looking front loaders. These machines have something called a Vortex Wash system which incorporates the use of a small grey paddle at the back...

UK Bendix Autowasher Deluxe still in use...

Hi guys, While visiting family around the UK, I stopped in at my great aunts house, which I have never visited before despite being local to where I used to live. Stepping into her house was like stepping back into the 70's, it took me aback! Her kitchen is the best as all her cabinets and...

UK Comfort fabric softener going thick and gluggy...

I saw the same thing when travelling around the US. Using laundromats I stocked up on some single use packets of downy fabric softener. When I opened them they were discoloured and had a bad odour, not disgusting but a very 'off' odour. Lenor doesn't seem to suffer this fate as I have one in my...

UK Comfort fabric softener going thick and gluggy...

Hi guys, I don't know if this has been discussed before. I've just arrived in the UK for a vacation. Looking through my grandmas cupboard I found she had two bottles of comfort pure fabric softener, both of which had practically solidified in the bottle. My gran has been in hospital for a few...

Australian Hoover Washer & Dryer Brochures

That's cool! Though I would wonder how long it would take to heat. Obviously would depend on the temperature of the incoming water :-)

Australian Hoover Washer & Dryer Brochures

I thought it was :-) that's so weird seeing that top of the line version the most I've seen is the Elite 1210 I believe. I probably would have bought one of those back in the day :-) do you think they heated to a specific temperature based on the programme or just activated the heater from the...

Australian Hoover Washer & Dryer Brochures

Hey just a quick question. The larger looking machine in post #690548, the Elite 1225 i think i can see. DOes that have a heater switch on the console? I can't see it very clearly very the two button closest to the programmer look like it says Heater underneath and On Off on the buttons. Ive...

Australian Hoover Washer & Dryer Brochures

The Hoover Premier 750 top loader in post #690548 (the smaller 5kg one) was the model that my grandad had when we first came to Australia in 1994. I'd never seen a top loader and mesmerised by it lol. He used it weirdly though as he was such a water nazi. He used to start it on Spray Rinse with...

Australian Hoover Washer & Dryer Brochures

Fantastic thread John! I have longed to see the advertising brochure for the Electra and Zodiac range for a long time. My favourite machines are the Electras, a faster spin and detergent dispenser. Also the styling was a lot nicer with more attractive colours. I still like the Zodiacs however...

    Pacific gorenje ps 435 HELPPP!!!!!!!

Pretty straight forward really. Detergent goes in the drawer on the right hand side. The dial on the left is the programmer. Read the guide on the front of the machine and it will tell you what number does what wash and at what temperature. for example: 4. Non Fast Coloureds 40* That...
