now that you mention it i passed through our local discount store and they had the small bags of powdered detergent they had Tide with the asian writing (love it), Ariel, foca, roma, rinso, and ace....im going to try some of these we tried foca i think its the one with the seal on the package...

i wash the white body pillow in our toploader it does fine on normal which is slow wash fast spin i use the large setting and hot water comes out white never bunching or anything and hang dry in the sun the other one i had was like velvet and said "dry clean only" well, my ocd told me to wash it...

the ones i can remember would be the filter flo and frigidaire washers that were similar i think they were called frigidaire horizon and of course whirpools i didnt really see any maytags in my neck of the woods...i was born in 85 so....those are the ones i can remember
