    Not your average....W H A T ?

Wow! I thought this was a normal washer at first. I was going to say "Whatever it is, it can do 6.5 kilos!" Thats neat, I'd buy it just on that fact alone.

    "EXTRA RINSE"

Maytag Maytags first machine with an extra-rinse feature was the A9800, this is the same machine that beekeyknee resotred, and retro-fitted with a helical/pitman drive transmission. Of course the A9900 (the digital model) also had a extra rinse feature. From then on, only the TOL models fetured...

montgomery ward "signature" mini maid dishwasher- anyone know who made this please?

I would do option two myself. Run it till it stops. This machine is unique, and funky, would be fun to play with for a while! As for the magic marker, use light amounts of nail polish remover. It will rid anything of any ink stain or marking!

Rebuild of Maytag Transmission and Transplant into LAT 9800 AAW.

Holy crap! This is an amazing thread. Excellent detail and work. From one Maytag fanatic to another, congratulations, and many thanks go out to you. I will reference this thread when I rebuild the A712's transmission next year. Lots of great tips and tricks in here. I used that trick you had...

    high miles vehicles...

Honda My first car was a 1997 Honda Civic EX sedan. It had about 325.000kms on it when I bought it, and when I sold it, close to 360.000. Just goes to show what routine maintenance can do for a car.

Hey Peter! Excellent thread! I really enjoyed watching the whole restoration! Thanks for sharing with us. These are some of my favourite threads to view. I hope it brings you many years of service! On a side note, interesting cycle title "Daily Loads", a lot different than "Normal Wash" or...

Another portable washer/dryer pair for sale in Jersey...

The are Canadian! Yup! These are Canadian machines, exact same model as my KM portable. This would be a TOL model with varriable water level, cottons, perma press, delicate, and pre-wash. This would be early early 80s models, as that faux woodgrain finish was accross the entire Kenmore lineup...

Coal For Heating, Cooking and Laundry. Anyone?

Carbon monoxide Carbon Monoxide is a product of incomplete combustion. Even in natural gas furnaces/boilers, CO can and will exist. In any kind of combustion process, if there is not enough air to mix with the fuel, or not enough time for the air to properly mix with the fuel, CO will form. CO...

    Maytag WU-600 in New Hampshire

Damn, I wish I was closer to it, it would give me something to play with this weekend. PS Paul, I have managed to find a WUx02 series DW, one that will be able to be retrofitted with the control panel from your old WU902! Wish me luck, I hope it is still at the Restore.

Machines of Grand Repute, Volume I: The GE Potscrubber Twenty Eight Hundred

Hey Nate! Excellent report again! I love reading these, so please, continue. They are very well written and compiled. I love high end machines, the 2800 would be a nice find up here in Canada. most TOL machine I found from GE was the Medallion 850. Which just so happens to shave A LOT of the...

Everyone Please Read: As an Honor to Terry, I'm Posting This in the Imperial Forum...

I just saw the post about this over on the other side. I remember Terry from Vacuumland when I was more active in posting last year. He was a nice man, very helpful. I am really sorry to hear this! I hope everyone is feeling okay, and my sincere condolences to everyone on the forum and family.

    My Laundry areas

Hey Martin! Excellent looking room! Thanks for sharing. Love those GEs. I noticed the "Two-tone" DA agi!

    Tub Capacities

Martin is right. Effectively clean? No. I can pack in nine towels and a hand towel, but will the washer properly/effectively clean the clothes? Not as well as it would if it was loosely, sparingly loaded with eight. Lots searching on the forum has lead me to believe there is a general...

    Tub Capacities

Weight When I first started coming to this website, I never understood the measurement of weighing the clothes. Laundry day is coming up soon, and since I don't have a Westinghouse Weigh-to-save model, I'm going to break out the scale! I agree with everyone in that clothes weight isn't a true...

    Tub Capacities

I am very curious how each manufacturers tubs stacked up against each other in water capacity, clothing capacity, and weight capacity. For instance: Maytag's large capacity tub holds 76 litres or 19 gallons of water, 18lbs of clothes. On a mixed load I can fit four long sleeve shirts...

    Maytag Bravos XL Washer

Nice looking I think they look kinda nice. I wish the control panels were a bit more squared though. Maytags large capacity pitman/helical drive machines could do 18lbs. Anyone read the fine print about the dryer saving over $1000? "Compared to pre-2004 conventional top load pairs, average...
