No not necessarily, earth leakages on these range of machines often cause the machine to pause. Not a job for a DIYer in my opinion, as I said call your local friendly engineer.
Commercial dishwashers
I dont really look at commercial dishwashers but my understanding is most have a seperate boiler unit which ensures they can wash very quickly at hot temperatures making them unsuitable and very un-economic for domestic use.
Independent engineer
Yes as Liam says calling out service force they will charge at least 70 pounds labour excluding parts. For a competant independent this job will present no challenge and save you at least 50.
Good luck with whatever way you decide to go.
Hi
There are a few things that can cause filling overnight.
The most obvious is faulty inlet valves where although the solenoid activates the actual valve housing does not shut off bacause of limescale etc, causing a slow drip into the drum.
Often especially in new build properties the water...
How on earth did the inner drum tear through the outer tub like this? Never seen anything like it in my life.
Hate to be cynical but unless a foreign obfect was caught between the inner and outer drum this could not happen.
Well sorry that has happened to your friend but paying less than £200 pound for a Inde-point washing machine!.
If you get more than 2 years out of the machine your doing very well. Landfill.
Im not supprised in the slightest.
Yes very old models.
At the bottom of the page it says "added to our catalogue february 2005!"
Also the Smeg Semi integrated Brown Washer Dryer will not let you add it to basket that would suggest they have none in stock
I disagree, despite your personal experiences, those in the domestic appliance repair trade in the UK rate BSH appliances highly.
Certainly better quality than Lux group, Indesit, Whirlpool etc. . .
hi Gary,
What a great machine!
Out of interest have you taken the rear drum bearing plate off to seal the holes from the inside, or have you sealed them from the outside?
looks like a fun job to get your teeth into. I take it the whole drum has to be taken out and split in half to access the bearings/ drum shaft.
Would be interested to see the guts of this beast as there are too many of them this side of the pond.
Be sure to post pics of the bearing job.
good...
Miele's marketing people are contradicting themseleves when they say "other brands use platic, reducing the life of the machine(page 7)".
This Miele has a platic outer drum!.
Miele have let themselves down in my opinion in this department in what is otherwise a great build quality.
