Creda debonair reversair: my newest addition

Hi again The dryer arrived, the chap who brought it over was really nice and put it in the hallway for me :) the dryer has some marks to the top and some on the sides so will need a touch up. Its really quiet, the high heat setting is really hot and the low heat setting is what I would class...

Creda debonair reversair: my newest addition

Hello all :) Well, yesterday I nabbed a Creda debonair reversair compact off ebay, the dryer was quite local and I already route planned to pick it up, but the seller offered to drop it off for me tomorrow, well, it just means that I can get my mitts on it a bit sooner lol :) Here is the...

UK Article: Is your laundry making you ill?

The only time I've washed at 30*c is if I have a small load of things that have come out of the wardrobe but smell abit stale.

    Comparing detergent - testing

Paul, I can honestly say I find persil to wash better and some cases I find it works out cheaper too, my sister started buying small boxes of non bio powder when she was pregnant for baby grows and so on, and she would buy bio powder for her and the bro-in-laws stuff. My other sister uses almat...

    Comparing detergent - testing

This is where it says unilever will not test on animals, since laws in different countries require animal testing they will carry it out. Simply non bio powder pods are approved by the Vegan association and Ecover have been awarded the BUAV approval, and also, P&G test various chemicals on...

    Comparing detergent - testing

I find persil non bio powder to be brilliant stuff, always rinses out of the washing exceptionally well, and the best thing of all (well, for me lol) Persil isn't tested on animals where as P&G stuff is, ecover is another favourite too. Anyway, my brother does rein acting for a Napoleonic war...

    Servis W814W washing machine

This one is just rated A+. One thing I forgot to mention is that when the machine goes to acellerate from the slower spins to 1000(I think) and above, you will see the machine bop along the lower rpms, shift up a little and then you will hear it CLICK into the higher speeds. Tom

Reversing on modern White Knight dryers et al?

My sisters 4 y/o white knight dryer seems to go in one direction for 5 minutes and in the other for a few seconds. My whirlpool AZB8680 does a similar thing but its pretty effective at un tangling the load, my candy vented dryer reverses in each direction for equal amounts of time. Tom

    Servis W814W washing machine

Right, Ive had the machine for a while now and I can form a proper opinion on it. The machines cotton cycles aren't ridiculously long, the boil wash seems to take 2:55 minutes, the synthetic cycles are short and have high water levels and wash equally as good as the cotton cycles, the 40*c...

    Servis W814W washing machine

Hey Paul, So far its been brilliant, but time will tell. The only thing I would change if I could are the symbols for the options as they are a little confusing but there are only 3 main options I use anyway lol :) Tom

    Servis W814W washing machine

With reguard to water levels, if you select extra rinse it adds a little more water to some of the cycles. The machine is still impressing us and I highly recomend these machines, they look nice imo and dont look cheapy like the AM made machines. Tom

    Tesco voted Britain's worst supermarket

Cardiff city centre is normally dominated by Tesco express stores and one Sainsburys local store now has a "Little" Waitrose store, its essentialy like a Tesco express store except its much nicer to be in and the store is better laied out. We avoid Tesco, we mainly shop at Sainsburys, Aldi, Lidl...

    Servis W814W washing machine

Its been in for nearly a week and so far its been fantastic :) The eco 40*c wash takes forever but it uses a lot of water and it produced results as good as the samsung and the miele. Tom

UK Comfort fabric softener going thick and gluggy...

Launderess, Comfort is a Unileaver brand. I have noticed that it is a little thick but not by much, my mother continually uses comfort pure and the conditioner compartment in the miele is a bit gludged up but in my machines when Ive used comfort Ive never had this problem which is odd. Tom
