Re Phillips Hi Al. I'll see this weekend if I've got time. My Bendix is tumble drying as it should. ( it shuts down too soon ) and I don't know why ! So I was looking for another dryer. But if I get it and it's not suitable for my space I'll easily hold on to it for someone !

Found them I found where is put them safe and replaced the spider and bearings. It's all back together ! The nut undid its self first test. So I have re tightned it. Hopefully tight enough. It's an old n rusty machine but hopefully trusty ! Mam has a washed planned tomorrow ! Fingers...

Ps I will be giving it a good scrub with bleach spray before it all goes back together! There is evidence of mild coin damage on outside of drum but more scoring than dinting. I'll clean the sump pot too !

Hi lee The sump filter can be adjusted to make it more water tight. Loosen the nut and tighten the screw or the other way around. This increases the tension against the spring bar therefore increasing tension against seal. It may squeeze a day or two out of seal to have a water test Richard
