A relative of mine in Miami had one of these. It did a really good job for an impeller model. When it let the steam out it had a very distinctive odor, kind of like a vintage Bendix Combo. of the era. You did a good job, as usual. I hope you enjoy using it!

I have an early "big-tub" solid-tub machine. It is a great washer.

Ohhhh, that will wash the hell out of farmers/ field workers or assembly line/garage workers clothes! Another electric version of beating clothes on a rock.

I used to have ten of these "diaper-washers" in the garage. Most of them just needed a new bellows and a dusting-off.

I have a late 40's Kenmore BOL in my collection. It is average in cosmetic appearance with a bit of surface rust here and there. Works perfectly. I even have the booklet that came with it. The owner jotted the delivery date in pencil on the front cover. Not trying to be a tease. Just saying...

After reading about the Tide Professional in the past post, I tried the Tide Ultra Oxy powder. It has changed the way I do my laundry. I am very impressed with the results. I find the fragrance rinses out well, and have no problem with the very light remainder.

Bob---- I have been using the Tide Oxi powder for a few months now and I have to say it is really doing a good job. I have finally broken my old habit of hot washes for everything. I rarely use Clorox anymore. I am very impressed.

If the dishwasher is doing it's job-------- then any trace of the detergent has been rinsed away at the end of the wash cycle.

I do not recall. People regularly used Clorox back then so even if there were a color transfer the bleach would take care of it. Today, those old rings are so porous they probably would hold on to some color. IMO the WCI-56 and WCI-57 machines would be the most vulnerable with those Gray rubber...

That takes a good bit of work. Those came out beautifully. Those of us who have large collections of machines can always use some of these. I can use some of all three! Just advise when you are ready to sell some!

QSD-DAN------ Ok, ok, so I am not a professional mechanic. I use PBlaster and Zoomspout for everything. They work. Something must penetrate!

Zoom-Spout Remains my go-to. I have had consistently good results over the years.

Go 'figya------ My roommate is an appliance repair tech. He wears the dark-blue Dickies slacks, and gets them absolutely filthy. He swears by the Arm & Hammer liquid! He normally uses a tepid wash temperature and washes them in one of the 1-18's. I never used it so I don't know of it's past...

Ariel has a terrific scent for clothes in the summer-time. As Mexican brands go, I find Viva to be the strongest when cleaning greasy things. I have some older formulae with phosphates, so that is for warm-hot water wash. I still find that a cup of clear ammonia boosts the grease-cutting...
