Tide Professional Laundry Detergent

So after someone mentioned it, I decided to give Tide Professional a try.

 

Anyone else try Tide Professional? How does it work? Is it worth the price of $42.92? Does the stain removing power live up to its claim?  

 

I decided to go ahead and give it a try. Been doing lots of laundry lately so I said why not. I figured a commercial grade machine deserves commercial grade detergent.

I've never tried it. It would be interesting to try. How does it smell? I wonder if its rival Persil has a professional version.

Jerome, it smells nice- not to pungent but not to weak! Its tolerable, better than regular liquid HE tide if you ask me! I'll do some loads and report back to you!

I've read on the other thread that this new Tide Professional at least for the powder smells the same as Tide Ultra OXI. If that's the case, I'll pass because I've smelled Ultra OXI before and the scent is too strong for me. I'm looking into going back of using powder and so far I like using Kirkland the best because it doesn't leave a scent behind.

Just did a load, it smells like summer rain at the end of the cycle. Light, gentle, yet crisp. I'll see how it is after the dryer.

I have found Ultra Oxi to be Tides lightest scented detergent that I have come across. All of their liquids are dangerously potent.

It's coming to a point that I'm starting to think people here don't want to interact at all or there's something happening on the background with the same group of people joining forces to bully 2 or 3 specific members.

Nobody is forced to comment on every single thread, nobody is forced to even click on the thread and read it. If you see the subject line or the date and you think It's not relevant or interesting FOR YOU, just keep scrolling.

By the way, I didn't see when somebody posted about tide professional before. If it wasn't for THIS thread, I probably wouldn't know this product exists. And I thank the person who posted it? I may try it and come back to share my opinions. Then what? The group of Karens will start saying shouldn't share MY opinions because somebody else already did it?

Simple solution just block.  I have and 95% of the crap that irritated me is gone. Don't even see threads started by blocked  people.

tide ultra oxi

I've tried the Tide ultra oxi+odor power pods and needless to say, I don't like the smell. It smells like nasty chemicals. I have a love/hate relationship with P&G who can't just leave well enough alone. Persil advanced clean smells better in my opinion, which leaves a more enjoyable scent. It leaves more of a citrus scent. I've also sworn off downy April fresh which smells like hair spray. I use Snuggle blue sparkle which has a woody scent that smells more pleasant like Persil does. I did laundry yesterday on the settings I'd typically use.

It seemed like Ultra OXI was much stronger coming out of it's box unlike Tide Original and Tide Mountain Spring that I've smelled plus used before (both powder). But definitely not as strong as Tide OXI in liquid, I have some and I really don't like that stuff. If Tide Professional smelled exactly like Ultra OXI in liquid, certainly won't buy it.

Regarding the drama that's happening around here. Matt's suggestion simply worked for me, I'm grateful our webmaster Robert allows us that feature. Thomas has also made an excellent point, I know I don't open up threads that doesn't seem interesting enough to me.

After reading about the Tide Professional in the past post, I tried the Tide Ultra Oxy powder. It has changed the way I do my laundry. I am very impressed with the results.
I find the fragrance rinses out well, and have no problem with the very light remainder.

My results are the same as yours but we're using older machines that rinse much better than new ones. That could be the missing link.

Regular Tide powdered detergent with a combination of a Whirlpool, especially an older Whirlpool with a Super Surgilator with built in temperatures will get those stains out.

Dan, that, and I think Tide Professional Powder rinses out better. I almost feel like there is some type of "rinse aid" in Tide Professional that helps with rinsing. For example, I had lots of froth in the wash water. I was getting ready for a second rinse. I rotated the dial up to light wash in order to get an automatic second rinse. To my surprise the warm water in the first rinse was mostly clear with only a few ribbons of very thin suds at the top. I could have easily skipped the rest. Next time I will. This detergent definitely enhances rinsing. Which is a cause for celebration. I can dose generously, with lots of froth, then rinse confidently without extra water. Its like this detergent was made for Speed Queen LOL!

 

And oh, the sent was not detectable out of dryer while no other odors were noticeable. Just a soft and mildly sterile smell. I think I'm might be falling in love again.

I would buy regular old Tide powder to do laundry, dishes and more, just like my mother did.
