I've seen this ad a few times but for some reason never noticed the "Filter Fountain" feature on this machine. Did it work the same as a Norge/Wards burpolator? Wondering how that worked with the unique agitation these washers have...

It's definitely worth an inquiry! I guess good news is the tub doesn't look like it leaks so you're off to a good start there...I say go for it. You'll get lots of support and encouragement from folks on this website. Lord knows they've helped me out many times with questions and problems...

I came upon this today and am hoping someone can let me know if the suggested repair is feasible. The machine is located on Oahu and will cost about $200 to ship to Hawai'i island where I live. Nice looking washer and would be fun to start collecting again...

I've seen this cool Philco machine ad a few times, but am curious as how the fabric softener dispenser works. I see it's mounted on the lint filter, but it doesn't look like it works like the Norge dispenser wheel. Has anyone seen one of these Philco dispensers in action?

Living in Hawai'i now without a clothes dryer is fine but I do miss my Filter-Flo and Wards burpalator for removing some lint..!

And wow, that’s really a bottom of the line machine! No hot wash option…

I'm the culprit who bypassed both the lid and out-of-balance switches. The lid switch for obvious reasons, but the out-of-balance switch would often engage for no reason and get stuck, so I disconnected it. Hope that helps.

Mark, I'm sorry to hear about the bleach dispenser. I ran water through it when I first got the machine then never used bleach in the machine after that (I jury-rigged a drain system for some of my machines that emptied in the yard so thought bleach might not be good for the soil..!) Looks...
