This was a very interesting post. I would never have known who Natalie Kalmus was or that Brastemp had even made such a machine. I also had never seen the Hotpoint advertisement.

Very innovative for the time I'm sure. Quite a bit has changed since then, with completely hidden controls on top now on many dishwashers that have a completely flat front with one big handle. It would be interesting to see what dishwashers and other appliances of the future will look like....

No, this is a timed fill and doesn't have any kind of float or metered fill. On the dial it shows F for full, 3/4 and 1/2 fills. The timer does it all.

WOW I have that identical stereo, only it is about 3 years newer than this one. It has a newer style amp and turntable that looks different than this one. It is the longest most massive stereo I have ever seen to be only a stereo and not a tv/stereo one.
