Honestly, I expected the job to be harder! The right side was easier by far, seeing as the pump was in the way on the other side. I got the right on and almost had the left on, but needed the husband to wiggle the tub into position. I'd unscrewed the pump from the bottom frame to make room...

New shocks seem to have made the machine much happier. Now, to replace the flakey cold water valve.

Thanks for the info, all. The machine only makes noise sometimes, I'll check for a busted spider in a bit. I suspect it's more in the realm of bad dampening. I don't see the UK listing but I see some stuff on eBay, I'll try those. Hoping the size is right.

The Miele seems to be unhappy. Makes lots of noise when launching into a spin. So, time to inspect. Looks like I need new struts. I suspect the black clip I supposed to be attached to the strut, and I don't think one is supposed to see the grease inside.

This is a single wash arm version, right? No upper...?
