    Found a KitchenAid KUDS23

Thanks Panthera for the recommendation. I'm going to buy a can of Rustoleum bathtub paint this weekend and give it a try. Maytagbear, I would think a Dremel tool would be perfect for this job. I am going to try using mine and I will let you know how it goes. Still looking for a service...

    Found a KitchenAid KUDS23

Monday afternoon I drove 2 1/2 hours to pick up a KitchenAid KUDS230B0 dishwasher. I found it on Kijiji for $60 CAD, and from the pictures it looked like it was in really good condition. When I got there, the pictures weren't lying... it was in terrific shape: the tank was mint except for a...

    Filter Flo Questions

I think it is the one on the left I need to adjust, as I think the one on the right is the one I adjusted the last time for the high water level setting, as I screwed it in several turns to get the level up to the correct setting, and you can see that one is screwed in further than the center...

    Filter Flo Questions

That's why I'm confused and why I'm posting... the screws do not move. The plate behind them does. There is more movement behind the left hand screw (the one in the center of the switch) than the right hand one though.

    Filter Flo Questions

Sorry to resurrect an old flame. A while ago I adjusted my Filter Flo pressure switch to get it to fill on high to the proper level, and now it fills perfectly. The problem is, I don't remember which of the adjustments I played with. Now I want to adjust the level of the mini basket fill, so...

    My 'Lady' has betrayed me!!

...but why is it still trying to agitate in neutral? Even at full speed spin, if you look at the blur of the bottom fins of the agitator in the last video, you can see them "moving" back and forth slightly, which means the spin speed of the agitator is not staying constant, but varying...

    My 'Lady' has betrayed me!!

There might be multiple problems here. If the spin cam bar is not moving at all, it could be a problem with the solenoid itself or it is not getting power due to a broken wire or something other reason. But the machine shouldn't be trying to agitate at this point... it should be in neutral...

    Maytag A606 unable to spin

Is the washer still agitating? If the problem was related to the pinion gear on top of the drive shaft inside the transmission, wouldn't that cause agitation not to work as well?

hobart kitchenaid kds-16 ISO a good home

Are you sure it is a KDS16? Your picture appears to be of a KDS18. If I were closer, I would come pick it up and give it a good home.

Kenmore belt drive clunking/banging and not spinning/draining properly?

I'm really starting to think that there is something either wrong with the timer, or a short somewhere in that power is being sent to the spin solenoid on the wig-wag all the time. Maybe a contact that is stuck closed in the timer? This would explain the buzzing sound you hear during filling...

Kenmore belt drive clunking/banging and not spinning/draining properly?

One thing to check for is once draining starts, does the washer try to start spinning before the timer moves an additional increment? Time how long each timer increment is... I believe they should be 2 minutes. In between the wash and spin portions of the cycle, there should be at least one if...

Kenmore belt drive clunking/banging and not spinning/draining properly?

You mention "if I leave the lid open until the tub is empty, it will eventually spin out"... do you mean that once the water has drained completely that spinning works consistently without any banging? If not, with the tub empty of water and clothes, does spinning work properly?

My brand new 30 year old KDI-57 Is broken, Need a measurement to repair

Silly question, but if this dishwasher was never used, how is the wash arm support in it different than a NOS wash arm support? I'm considering getting a new wash arm support for my KDS-58, but I'm afraid that the one I get won't be any better than the one I have now.

Ah Kevin, you are right. I forgot about the "graph paper" consoles. I guess it was because like you, I never liked them either.

Converting BD KM self clean to bed of nails filter

I do think that the model in the video I posted was the last Canadian TOL belt drive before they switched over to direct drive. I always remember seeing it in the Sears catalog and wishing we had one! I did know someone who had the 8 program version. The 8 programs were: Auto Pre-wash...

Converting BD KM self clean to bed of nails filter

Nice machine! Have been looking to acquire the 8 or 10 program version of this era machine for quite some time now, like the one in the video linked below. Really like the brown control panel. Even though it isn't on this control panel, I would be very surprised if this wasn't a dual action...

Hoover twin tub washer with a strange smell

One other thing you might want to check is to see if something went over the spin can and is sitting in the bottom of the spin tub. When I got my twin tub a few years ago, while checking it out, I pushed the spin can from side to side, and found an old sock sitting in the bottom of the tub. I...
