lid switch I just tripped the lid switch, opening the lid all the way. Then I closed the lid and tried to resume the load. I see and hear the timer working, but the machine won't aggitate or spin.

Thanks Tom! I will check out the pump and hose under the machine and see if there is a blockage. I do not smell the belt burning. In fact, I replaced both belt last New Year's Day, with the help of this website forum. Until now, my old Maytag washer has never run better. Mark

I have a problem with my old washer. After the initial washer cycle (Delicate), it does not empty the water, and then it actually starts another cycle (ie: Permanent Press). HELP!!! Do I need to replace the timer?? Or is there another problem? Thanks SOOO much! Mark
