    Car turn signals?

Judging by the way most people drive these days... Do they still have written and road tests ? Latest thing here at least on the Cape is just look at the red light as you're rolling through it. No need to stop anymore. They're probably in a hurry.

    Gas Air Conditioning?

In 1967, My Dad's restaurant had a Major Renovation. He replaced a 1950's Carrier Stand up Console (with a water tower on the roof) with Bryant Gas Air. This was nothing but problems right out of the gate. The pump failed continuously. We averaged one pump per year. However, when it did...

    U.S. coin shortage?

Yes. Heard about this last Friday. I happen to have a bucket of change I wanted to roll. So, I went to the Bank for wrappers and the teller said "Oh, Thank God... we are so short on change." I had a few snarky remarks but she was nice and didn't deserve them.

Change the control board! Change the control board!

Isn't terrible when you can diagnose the problem but the tech can't ? Being in the restaurant biz for years you get a trained ear for different machinery noises. When I would put in a work order I would tell them what I thought the problem is and to bring specific parts just in case. I had...

Picked up a Lady Kenmore today!

This is the first Suds Saver washer I ever saw working. I was just fascinated by the return suds while that Roto Swirl was splashing away with all that "Return Drama" splashyness. I also like the way the cycle dial clicks then about 3-5 seconds later in will move to the next increment. It was...
