I'll give this one more try...otherwise, sadly, they have to go for scrap.

i have had some interest on the wringer, but none on the a408. i realize location is a factor, i'm far from anyone :) here's a couple of pictures.

it's doing the same thing described earlier in this thread...agitates as soon as i start it up...but i do suspect it's the timer, it doesn't seem to be advancing to the next cycle..it only goes so far, then i need to move it to spin, rinse, etc. will have hubby read through this next week, when...

one more question, will the timer part 204889 fit my a408 if i need that part? i'm hoping it's just the lid switch...

wow, this all just described my a408 problem, i was just going to send the same timer questions. will show hubby this, and hopefully get my washer fixed soon.
