Miele Vac Problem - Blowing Dust Out

Unfortunately without examining the cleaner, I don't really know what else to suggest. If that much dirt is getting out of the bag, there just has to be a leak somewhere - and if you've tried multiple bags and found the same issue, it has to be with hose connector, or the bag collar design. I'm...

Miele Vac Problem - Blowing Dust Out

Hi there - what bags are you using in the machine? If they're not genuine Miele Hyclean bags, that could be part of the issue. If dust's escaping within what should be a sealed system, there must be a leak somewhere. Was the hose connector replaced before or after this problem started? If it...

The hoover 450 and conquest are home!

I love the Conquest, and that 'heavy object cleanout' is a great feature. Makes much more sense than Kirby's 'broken fan-blade trap'!

The hoover 450 and conquest are home!

Congrats on your find! Hi Brandon, the 450's handle bail is not more deluxe, it's actually cheaper in quality. The 800's is a heavier, stronger, single piece of die-cast aluminium, whereas the 450's is stamped and nickel-plated metal. Although since it's lasted 77 years, you can see that even...

    Bellevue, WA Wash-In/Cook-In/Sprinkler-In/Vacuum/In...

Since Brandon's already shared my photo of my Jubilee Model 800, here's a few of my 'coffee can' Hoovers, including the 925 and 800, on display at the gallery earlier this year. They're among my favourite machines of all time - throughout the production of each model, Hoover's engineering...

    Samsung Eco Bubble...worst idea yet?

I certainly wasn't trying to be unfriendly, Gary. Just took the opportunity to clarify my comment! I thought perhaps you were implying a previous washer had used a similar technology in the past. :)

    Samsung Eco Bubble...worst idea yet?

Why the grin, Gary? Perhaps it's not a new idea, but something that's been done before? I won't pretend my knowledge of washers is particularly extensive! But that’s not really what I’m getting at – I make no comment on the Samsung Eco Bubble itself. My point is that I welcome Mike's attitude...

    Samsung Eco Bubble...worst idea yet?

Mike: Refreshing to see someone taking an open-minded attitude towards new ideas! :)

    Last Wash-In Here...!!!

Ciggy? Me? I must have been drinking! I certainly don't remember any dancing, I do hope I was fully-clothed?

    Last Wash-In Here...!!!

Gary, you know 'hissy fit' is my middle name! Some have called my actions 'a hysterical and attention-seeking overreaction', but people must learn that I will NOT abide inferior-quality breakfast foods!! Terry, great to hear from you! I loved your 'A trip down memory lane' feature in the latest...

Looking for this hoover- willing to trade some machines! :)

'I wonder why they put that scuff plate thing there.&#39 So people moving the cleaner from room to room on its rear wheels wouldn't damage delicate flooring with the two pointed projections at either end of the chassis. Also helps project the rear-underside of the bag in the same circumstances.

    Last Wash-In Here...!!!

'Al gives Jack a lesson in the art of not shrinking vest I actually fell out of my chair laughing at that one, Mike! Thanks so much for everything, it was a wonderful weekend, as it always is. Great appliances, great food, and most importantly, great company. Catching up with friends I've...
