    New Fridge Suggestions

I have purchased fridges at Costco and never been disappointed. Currently I have two: one in the main kitchen, and one in the adjacent kitchen (it's in the unheated area). Both function perfectly, for about 10 years or more.

    wasps...

I studied entomology in college so wasps don't get me worried. It's easy enough to rid a washer or dryer of insects.

You pay for what you get...

OK, a total of nine washers and dryers in the workshop building... three Bosch... all, AFAIK, still work... or they did when I put them out there about 10-20 years ago...

You pay for what you get...

PS: I *think* I still have the original washer/dryer that came with the property. It's in the workshop building.   Just checked... yup, it's still there, along with a number of other interesting appliances... washers and dryers... including three older Bosch front loaders... [this post was...

I've been running a Maytag Neptune washer and dryer for some 23+ years now. No major problems. Of course the washer is a front loader.

    Dr Pepper

Never been a Dr. Pepper fan. In fact, I haven't drunk any soda for at least a decade. At least that I can recall. For me it's beer, and even with that I have greatly reduced consumption for the last 10 or more years.   Whatever!

    Dr Pepper

I can't remember the last time I bought soda...   And, since my coffee maker failed last week, I'm fine without coffee, either. Don't know if I'll get it fixed...

    An update regarding life

Here in Northern California, we don't get hurricanes. We do get the occasional earthquake, about every five to ten years or so. Those can be destructive, but so far, so good.

    loudest dishwashers: 1960s-2000 ...

So here I'm wondering if it's possible to wrap the loud dishwashers with some sort of insulation to minimize the din.   Just a thought.   Of course the wrapping might cause other problems, but if it's really loud it might be worth it.

    Apartments With Two Doors

As I recall, when I was a teen, my mom moved to Stonestown Apartments in San Francisco. There were two doors on most of these: one to the kitchen, and one to the living room. Same with ours.   The kitchen staircase led to the garbage bins, which could also be used to reach the ground...
