    Ariston aqualtis! wow!

Hi everyone and nice to meet all new members! The machine in Darren's link is different from the extendia, because it is a standard 60cmx60cm and it's 7.5 kg. The drawer at the bottom of the machine is a separate unit. Extendia is a bigger machine and stands on a structure that is part of the...

which new F/L take in the "MOST" water .......

Spinning with water in the tub My Zanussi IZ does this during the low-level rinsing on cotton cycle...while the jet is spraying water on clothes! The rinse action is not so good anyway because of the low water level, so I set the machine to a low spin (600rpm) in order to have a higher level...

    YAY!!

I've found this old AEG Lavamat in a shop of new appliances near my city (Florence), and tomorrow I'll go and buy it! It's not used, it just remained in the shop for the last 15 years or so (I think it's from the early 90s). Anyone knows which year were these machines produced and if they did...

    Colgate-Palmolive Sells Laundry Detergent Line

In Europe... Colgate Palmolive sold their brands (Dinamo in Italy, Axion and Gama in France, Dynamo and Ajax laundry detergent in Denmark) 2 years ago to P&G. Now these products have the same packaging, formula and fragrance of others P&G products, and the original CP formula is no longer...

Uk detergent Thank you froantloader812 for your info! And doityrselfguy, you can be sure those detergents are all specific for FL machines (as all detergents available here in Europe). We also have some high-sud soaps, but it's written on the packs if they are of this kind. Daniele

    Soap Opera (not OT)

Watch at those '50-'60-'70-'80s soap opera clips, there are lots of detergents ads! From my link you'll see some Guiding Light's 1979 episodes, at the beginning and/or at the end of each segment there are lots of commercials of P&G products. Watch also the "Archive" section and select other...

    Is it never HOT enough?

But do u think phosphates to be better than zeolite? I use both detergents (in powder form) and don't notice big differences. The big difference i noticed was using liquid french colgate detergents with phosphates: Axion and Gama, now been sold to P&G :( They were wonderful soaps: no sudsing at...

    Is it never HOT enough?

foraloysius I don't know about handwash detergents, but standard-automatic detergents from P&G UK don't have phosphates no more. You can read more on www.scienceinthebox.com, in this site P&G says more about their products compositions. Do you use Yahoo messenger or MSN, foraloysius? Daniele

    Is it never HOT enough?

Still about phosphates They're not toxic, because they're also in some foods. The mess is that they over-feed sea plants (sorry about my english poor language). Over-grown plants then "eat" too much oxygen in the water and so the water get poor in oxygen and fishes and others animals can't...

    Is it never HOT enough?

Phosphates Mr x, in eastern european countries (Croatia or Poland for example) phosphates are still allowed. Their powders (liquids have been introduced only after 2000) still contain up to 30% of phosphates and they don't use zeolite almost at all. They are also less concentrated (like "our"...

    Is it never HOT enough?

Jon: "I was reading off the Ariel/Persil packets today and found out that they still use phosphates..." Are you sure? Wasn't there Phosphonates? Last packets of Ariel that I got from UK carried zeolite instead of phosphates and phosphonates in little quantity. Persil was still using phosphates...

Really a beautiful machine. I know it has also a special cycle for beer's glasses (it doesn't use rinse agent so the beer can do its typical foam). Mielerod, i've seen in your yahoo photo album the shots from the Miele museum, where is it? Thank you, Daniele

Anyone Ever Use Vintage Laundry Products?

Old detergents I also collect old detergent box, but don't use them when they're very old. The perborate (bleaching agent) in the powders doesn't work well because of humidity, and liquids sometimes just leave my clothes not smelling properly!! Daniele
