Thanks I Learned something new. I thought it was a 65. It's been good to me. I had to get creative on the defrost solenoid few years back. Then the thermostat was acting up making it cycle to fast. Robbed one out an old hot point fridge but it won't go low enough for the freezer to be cold...

Will do was just hoping to find something with the decorative engraving in it but like everyone has said new piece from glass shop gonna be the easiest.

It has done well for 60 some years. Nothing was dropped just sliding another glass bottle around in there where it broke. And I don't think the original was tempered as when it broke it didn't shatter it just broke.

Anyone have a dead GE 1965-66 refrigerator that I can buy the lower glass shelf out of? Pretty please with a cherry on top.

Wr9x186 has been discontinued and replaced about 50 times I just need one that has a long tube made to it. I rigged one up I had laying around. See what I can find to replace this one.

I like my milk cold so I keep the fridge around 35 and the freezer is around 0 I will double check them again but the freezer fridge doors were not getting opened this morning when i posted the ten minute comment.

I heard it finally cut off this morning less than 10 minutes it was back on.

Mr David, thanks for the reply. I follow you on the equalization of the pressure that makes sense. When it does finally cycle off it seems like it comes back on too soon. How long should it be between a cycle assuming the doors aren't opened. I was home at lunch today and it was running...

Also like to add when it's not working and the guardette is tripping and it's trying to get back right I can cut current to it let sit for a bit and then turn back on and it goes back running fine.
