I finally got around to installing my jk29 dual self cleaning oven. Been sitting in the garage for a few years now. The lower oven is not working.I'm not familiar with it yet so when you turn the oven set knob to bake little red light come on above knob. Then turn the oven temp to a desired temp and I get no red light above it and neither element heats up.
Is the themp control switch the issue or is the temp probe an issue. What should I be checking into first. Thanks in advance.

First Thing to check is the lower oven sensor, it should read 17.5 Ohms, a quick check is to connect the two wires together going to the sensor and if the oven starts heating you know the sensor is bad [ do not leave the sensor wires shorted together as the oven will over heat badly and ruin the oven liner.

Sensor PT# is WB21X158, it is NLA from GE but still are readily available all over the internet.

If you replace it the wiring connections need to be done from the rear of the oven.

To follow up on this... I'm just now getting around to working on this. The upper has worked fine since I installed. I have finally tackled pulling the unit out and indeed the sensor is bad. And no one to blame but myself but I can not find a wb21x158 replacement. There is a used one on eBay bout it. Was hoping to replace both of them while I had the unit out.
