Yeah those covers used to break off and expose the nuts which wrote the drum off! Ridiculous! They didn’t use too much water and that tilt maybe why things weren’t soaked. They could’ve done with a jet. Yeah it’s a strange time for appliances with these new takeovers. I am interested to see...

Yeah they are. Front comes off. Tub splits. Parts are available. Despise the door seals so tacky and thin when you apply pressure to fit they fall off. I have a door seal tool which works on most springs but I didn’t have it when I worked for them. The NA-16VX1 models are made by haier. Later...

The triple jet has to be better than the 5 jet ring. They get blocked all the time and we’re probably my most common call out on the midea made machines other than the bearings failing at a spectacular rate! The IZ I had was bloody brilliant. I had a later model which didn’t do any of the spin...

Hey Rolls, Yeah it’s an electro mechanical timer you can hear and feel the inner dial turning around despite the free moving dial. I believe the rinse sensor works on the pressure switch. Sudslocks etc trigger different water levels. It’s a cracking machine. The 1200 is good considering I’m...

Hi guys, Earlier this year I worked for service force the main agent for Electrolux service. Attached to the service centre we had a shop and we used to get a lot of scrap machines in. I got a working Zanussi TD201 vented dryer and a Zanussi Directa fj1200 washer which albeit slightly finicky...

    Vintage wringer and twintub fun

Hello all, Long time since I’ve posted here! This past Friday I went to my good friend Austin’s house as I regularly do and we had a vintage laundry day with some of his fine collection! We did several loads of whites. Initially we planned to use one of Austin’s Hotpoint twin tubs but we...

Hi Matthew, I didn't realise further work had been done to it so apologies and thanks are in order in actual fact! :-) I asked if I could leave it there so that folks could finally see one in person I thought it'd be nice for all to get enjoyment. Sorry if my tone appeared angry I just...

    A New Vintage Washroom Opens...

Really love the collection and wash house Steve very nice. Wondering about that Colston Vented Washer/dryer! I have a Haynes manual with pictures but that's about it. Is it any good? I'd love to try a Vented washer dryer and compare it to a condenser. Darren
