    My New Hoover Mach3

You got the skills.......... Andy, You certainly have the skills at becomming a great product designer/illustrator. Too bad consumer products are slowly being designed overseas. Engineering is the next to go. Your illustrating skills could still have a future as most American companies...

    Whirlpool Help

pads are out I was able to lift the suspension enough to get the pads out. Now to get some new ones. We have AP Wagner supply here in Buffalo and Rochester. I'll get out there tomorrow. Hopefully this will do the trick. Thanks for all the links and help. I'll post after the new pads get...

    Whirlpool Help

Pads....... It looks to be the pads. I wedge a screwdriver to put more pressure on the pads and the suspension tightens right up. Now, can I just drop the drive enough to get the pads out? There are the three "bean shaped" ones and three square, white ones. Its probably a good idea to replace...

    Whirlpool Help

Hi All, Well after all my vacuum posts, I'm finally posting a washer question. I've got this Whirlpool washer, new in 1993, and its starting to dance across the floor in spin cycle. The first time I thought it was a load balance problem, but it does it all the time now. I'm suspecting a spring...

    Frigidaire Imperial stove

Indicators......... They were horizontal to the knobs. Reminded me of a radio tuner in an old car.

    Frigidaire Imperial stove

Hi All, My wife and I were out thrifting today and came across a Frigidaire Imperial stove. It didn't look like the Imperials I'm used to seeing with the controls way up above the ovens. It was lower, almost like a GE Liberator from the 50's. White in color. The burner controls had pointers to...

Well, since the Vacuumland Forum has been closed,

Thanks Pete,... If your email is in your profile, I'll send you one and we can work out squaring up with you. If you can find and 89 hose, that would be great. I'd even settle for the machine end and I could adapt a US hose to it. Take care, Joe

    59 GE Stove

Danemodsandy, No problem, I often joke about all the stuff my parents save. That GE won't get away. Gansky1, Thanks for the info on the Tappan. I'm sure one will show up around here. Joe

Well, since the Vacuumland Forum has been closed,

Hey Pete! That Electrolux 88 looks like it has a bullet hole in it. Did someone use it for target practice? LOL I have a nice model 89 but no hose. I was thinking of calling up some Canadian vac shops to see if they can help. Hoses from the US machines don't fit. Back to the Housekeeper, they...

    59 GE Stove

My Parents....... Unfortunately, I can't get them to part with it. They save everything. I did talk them into giving up their Zenith Console stereo. That's coming here as soon as I can get a place ready for it. I'll keep you in mind if they want to get rid of that GE stove. My wife hates...

    59 GE Stove

That's it!!!!!!! My parents have the white version of the GE Liberator pictured above. They got it in '58, the year they were married. I loved how the colors lit behind the selection buttons for the burners. They still have it and its hooked up in the basement and used occasionally for holiday...

Well, since the Vacuumland Forum has been closed,

I have to confess.... I have the first Dirt Devil upright. Jeff's right, those early Regina's were the "new" standard that all vacuum makers had to live up to. Now to the every day user, tools on board are a must. Jeff, you are doing good preserving that Housekeeper. I'm going to stash one up...

Well, since the Vacuumland Forum has been closed,

Buffalo Joe's Here............. I have been busy from the holidays and am just over from being sick with a bad cold. I missed what happened in vacuumland and maybe its a good thing I did. I can only guess what happened. Alot of other vacuum forums died a horrible death also. Too bad some have...

Happy Holidays everyone ! (xmas lights pics?)

Our Vintage Tree Here is our vintage tree. Its a Balsom Fir that I planted 12 years ago along with 299 others. My goal was to have our own Christmas trees. You see we like the natural, unpruned trees. Most commercial tree farms prune the trees so that they are perfect and filled in with no...
