Serial = late 1976. A reasonably rare model with fully variable temperature.

That WP range seems to be a 1967 model if I'm interpreting the model number correctly. The serial syntax isn't familiar.

During that time period, Whirlpool was having either Roper or Kelvinator supply their ranges, depending on the model. I'm nearly certain this one was made by Roper in their Newark, OH factory. It is nearly a twin to many of the Kenmore 30" ranges from that time.

Lots of interesting stuff still out there Dan, your first post was a KDS 20, the KDS 19 would not have the energy saver dry switch to the left of the push button bank.

That avocado RCA whirlpool range was no newer than 67 because they took the RCA logo off in 68, and yes, it is definitely a roper built range. It’s a very rare thing to see with the whirlpool name on it, it was there mainly so whirlpool could have a self cleaning range

It’s too bad they won’t go back to building ovens without windows, and these original self cleaning ovens were so well insulated. They’re far more energy efficient than any similar size range built today.

In the 70s, the Appliance manufacturers argued out of any regulations on energy usage by gas and electric ranges because they argued that there really wasn’t any difference, then they set about building gas and electric ovens over the last 30+ years that were more and more inefficient. today we have probably the lowest efficiency ovens ever sold in the world.
