Cool control panel--very "metallic" looking! The tub, ring, and agitator look brand new!
It does knock...but what 1-18 is silent, really? Probably just needs some agitate shaft adjustment.

This must be 1-18 day. I saw a 1-18 in Avocado,with a window lid. It was on the trade in trailer at Best Buy.But this one had a console like I've never seen before.It was similar to this Epay one,but not exactly. Wish I could have got a picture.

This person is not very co-operative, they won't reply to E-Mails, and for whatever reason, it seems to me that they are trying to be "SNEAKY" and I don't care at all for "SNEAKY" people, that won't admit to whom they are, or act like a decent person, rather than an IDIOT...

A Frigidaire on a Best Buy Trailer?
And you didn't try to nab it? Poor thing is probably crusher bound, as a club member you are duty bound to save such things of beauty from a horrible fate. *LOL*
Regarding the seller of this item,
He/she has been selling several Frigidarie washer items lately and if a member and poked his/her head in to see the various posts should have at least had the decency to say "hullo".
Think it is not exactly rude, but not polite for eBay sellers not to answer emails. Usually won't have anything to do with such sellers as history has taught me the transaction will be nothing but trouble.
And furthermore, this unit does not seem to me as part of this seller's "collection" rather something he recently aquired. Why do I say this?
Item - The red pick-up truck in the background clearly has it's lift gate still down. Indicating something was recently unloaded.
Item - Right next to the washer is a dolly used to move heavy objects about. Do you see where I'm going with this?
In all likely-hood the person took possession of the item, and took shots of it outside before moving it where ever it will remain until it is sold.
Not saying there is nothing wrong with any of this, just making a point.

I wish to sell my poppy red 1-18 to a member and have offered it in this forum,and have had several replies of people who would get back to me once they reserched shipping charges. I hope members will not be offended if I put it on E-bay next, but time and renovations are coming on but fast.

Laundress,the people at this Best Buy are a strange lot. I've tried to "BUY" pieces off the trailer before.Wouldn't sell.This was several years ago,though,maybe a few sheckels waved at the right person would do the trick.

Here's what you do, you're "packing" right? *LOL*
I'd wait for the big guys to leave then follow that truck/talk to someone and make them an offer. Of course this would depend on if the contents of the trailer were inventoried or not. Still, maybe you should introduce yourself to people that matter and tell them you don't mean any trouble and could make it worth their time. I mean what is the big deal?

I'll give it a try tomorrow. I don't think the trailer is invertoried or anything,I think all the "junk" goes on it,everything from dead TV's,packaging from appliances,etc.

Heres what happens to their old stuff..I've seen this in
We have three places here that have employees that are not quite honest..Lowes, Best Buy, and Meeenardds.
They have their delivery guys take these appliances to the local junkyards around here, to get rid of them. BUt some do not make it to these horrid graves.
USUALLY the employees mentioned will get crafty and hit the used appliance store circuit, and sell these things and pocket the money. It's done more than you think.
In fact that is exactly how I found my 1965 Kenmore 800 set, my first 1-18 set, and later the Westinghouse Space Mates.
I have stopped at Lowes, and after quite a bit of "scheckle" waving, I got a pristine General Electric Bakers oven for my mom...about three years ago..for $30.00. It's from the early 1990's, but this was replacing a GE Bakers oven from the mid 1960's, which went into our basement for holiday roasts and such.
Anyway, I have never seen any vintage stuff on these trucks, except the smattering of center dial Maytag, filter Flo GE's and possibly a 1970's design Kenmore of one form or antoher in the last 4 or five years. At least here in the greater lansing area anyway.

actually-this is not a bad idea-don't blame the delivorymen-seems like BB doesn't care where they go---If its a few bucks for the delivorymen-thats good-and the machine can find a new home instead of going to the "krusher"also guess BB doesn't pay their delivorymen very well.

Down here,Menards tries to sell tradeins,usually garbage,that eventually gets hauled away.Lowes in Mishawaka supposedly has someone who picks up their trade ins,but I've still scored a few. Lowes in Niles,and in Warsaw,just sets theirs out back,and I've done more than my fair share of picking them up.Best Buy,everything goes in the trailer. I don't know who gets the Sears stuff anymore.
