I purchased what was new to the market a year ago Frigidaire front loader GLT2940E (TOL at the time). I thought it was proper to give a 1 year update on this machine.

The first machine arrived dead on arrival. The second machine has done nothing but run properly since it was installed. It spins smoothly, even on the highest speed. The leveling is key with this machine, making sure all 4 feet are hitting the floor tight. The machine should never rock in the spin cycle.

This machine does between 6 to 8 loads per week. Most of those are cold/cold water settings. Lots of denim pants and sweatshirts in the winter. 3 Sets of sheets per load. Full size comforters. Full Loads of towels (12 bath towels I find works best). I do whites separately with bleach and hot water.
I have not had one load come out to my dislike yet. Whites are whiter than they went in. Sheets dry fresh with the smell of fresh linen.

The decrease in electric and gas consumption is quite noticable (even with rates on the way up). The dry cycle is much shorter when the fastest spin is used.

I do use the All and Mighty because I noticed it performs very well with this machine. Never an oversuds situation. Always clean rinsing.

My 2 cents.

I have this machine also and likewise am pleased with its performance. I especially like the cold water soak cycle which I often use for extra dirty whites. Follow that with the "heavy" hot wash cycle and I get spectacular results removing stains without any bleach. I use Tide HE powder for whites.
