'13 VMW MT Centennial problem...

brought home a broken down agitator VMW this past weekend:have not hooked to water yet,but set for spin will keep activating lid lock solenoid again and again as lid lock light flashes-lid is never locked during this.Have not tried to run diagnostics yet.Did remove the PC board and did visual check for bad capacitors like my'10 VMW cabrio had...Centennial appears to be very low usage machine but reeks so bad it was attracting flies!-will get a good bleach run once operational
eager to try an agitator VMW and see how it does against the '10 Cabrio VMW washplate.The Cabrio is a washing S.O.B. if you get the load size just right Hate the Cabrio's rebalancing attempt antics though.

Run the diagnostics and look for error codes. Lid light flashing during operation means that an error code has been registered. In your case it sounds like you likely have a failed latch assembly at a minimum.
