The King of Gas Ranges

Only about 1000 of these were built by O&M between 1949 and 1952 or 53. They cost around $675 when new and were sold as the "Aristocrat" ('estate' as used in the ad was mostly a term describing it's size as most ranges of this size were for very large homes - estates)

Beautiful if you have the budget and 57" of space for it. I think the CL range might be a bit high, a fully restored range can sell for the prices she's stated so it would be interesting to see a list of her husband's restoration process.

O&M had some of the prettiest gas ranges of them all but we see very, very few around here.

I just came across a brochure from 1948 that shows this stove as model 5850. I've been shopping for a vintage gas stove and recently visited a guy in town here who has been restoring them for many years. He has one of these that he hasn't yet started on. He said it would go for around $12K-$15K once restored, but that buyers for these are few and far between due to their size.

Just beautiful, and a few of its features are great. Personally I wouldn't spend $14,000 for any stove that wasn't in perfect or completely restored condition. Porcelain can't really be touched up properly. The paint usually winds up looking like crap and starts to chip off after a few cleanings.
