4) I wouldn't put dirty items into a dryer.

7) Dryers nowadays don't "spin" slower on the delicate cycle.  A few Whirlpool Imperial/Mark 12/Mark 18 models could in the late 60s/early-mid 70s, and IIRC a Frigidaire Custom Imperial.

15) Moisture sensing isn't new technology, it has existed for more than 60 years.

Agreed, I find this very unsettling.

It's amazing how many people believe tech didn't exist before the 90's. Try 1960.

dirty items

I thought dirty items go into the washer, not the dryer. That's for clean, wet items.
