Hi I have just got a free dyson cr01 from my cousin as i'm moving house and he said that i had to ring dyson once i've got the cr01 in place and they will come and "balance the drums" as they are unbalanced or something... as you can see I don't know much about washing machines. but we rang dyson and they said it would cost £250 to come out and sort it because we should have put some bars on whilst moving it,

My cousin says it does work but shakes all the kitchen whilst spinning... can anyone give me advise or help.. cheers Joe

Hi. I have a cr02 flowcheck, it is superb, well i can't help much but did you tell them you didn't use transit bolts. You shouldn't have if you did, they could have fixed it for £85, full service with 12 months guarantee.
I would suggest giving them another call, to their ask dyson helpline and tell them about the drums.
Ok, hope it helps.
Remember i also have a dyson washing machine so any questions just ask.

Hi thanks

yes it was my girlfriend who rang and she said weve moved the cr01 and she said we didnt have the transit bolts yes, which we do.. I went mad when I found out, but she didn't give her name or anything, just the serial no. so maybe we can get away with it if i give them another ring. My cousin told me it was free for life, obviously not, but worth repairing for £85, its like brand new.

so is it quite hard to fix ? not something just anyone could do ?

thanks for the help anyway.
appreaciated

Joe

I would say dyson may give you 2 brand new drums if they are not alligned as if they try to repai it will be hard, because of size and other things etc.
Remember: this time you ring tell them you had and used transit bolts, so they would reconsider the huge price to their fixed amount of £85.

No, that doesn't happen often, it can happen after a lot of wear and tear. Dyson did test machines for more than 15 years use.
For videos go on youtube and type in dyson washing machine.

Its buggered now, we just plugged it in did a test wash and it was working fine for 10 minitues then it, turned off...

once i turned it back on the display kept resetting and lights where flickering allover the place, now it wont run at all... dunno if its worth repairin tho, if its goin to keep having problems

Hi sorry to hear your having problems.
Me, never had problems with mine as i had it since new.
Well, one thing you can try is to turn on the machine and straight away press the temperature button in for 2 seconds and straight away press soil type for 2 seconds, then you should see diagnostic mode. Now turn the machine off. Next turn it back on, start a wash as normal. It's worth a try as a friend put too much clothes in his (about 10kg) and that buggered it but i told him to do that when his got clothes out and it started to work normally. Since then he never overloaded.
It's worth a try, hope it helps!

my dyson

well I had the Cr01 though now sold it for much more than i paid for it hee hee. I had Dyson out to fix it in May, its now £95 charge but they can charge £200+ at their discretion if the machine has been mishandled etc so they told me. I had both motors replaced for £95 . Good machine though I decided i didn't want to take it to my new house so now running a Hoover and my old AEG.

Hi steve
If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for it and how much did you sell it for?
And what colour was yours?
Mine is pure white CR02.flowcheck.
Thanks.
And i've got videos on youtube of mine, just type in dyson washing machine.

price

Dyson2drums I bought the Dyson for a hundred and something not sure wat i paid exactly it was just after xmas from a washer shop selling refurb machines but I sold it for £260 on ebay. well chuffed. My latest bargain is a 4.5 yr old Asko stainless steel machine for £10. I need to do a bearing replacement on it but it will be fun i'm sure.
