Ended for $725. Is that out of line for these? I'm a little shocked.
I wouldn't have paid that much for it, but it's all original and has shelves too. These beasts are ridiculously heavy and difficult to move, which would be another deterrent for me. I moved mine twice, and that was enough. I wouldn't be surprised if it's still in my friend's barn where I left it almost 30 years ago. He sold the place a couple of years later.
I can't see what the starting price was for the subject fridge, but have seen later model single door MT's in lousy shape on ebay and CL with asking prices of $400+ so it's all relative, and the sale price could be considered a good deal by some.

A two door porcelain cabinet with a DR series, 1927-1932 top is very rare. It would have brought more in a open auction, without the local pick up requirement, and with a longer time frame to pick up.
As Ralph mentioned, they are a pain in the butt to move. The top weighs 295.
I hope who ever bought this checks the heater. It's probably bad. The start capacitor is on it's last legs and the lines where they meet the evaporator will need to be cleaned and coated with something to neutralize rust.
