This is...

exactly the kind of treasure I would love to have in my kitchen. My house was built in 1797, had two rooms added in 1848 and in 1910 the kitchen building was moved up and attached. I have been working on restoring the house the last two years. It's all cosmetic since nothing was ever changed except the kitchen. I had to gut it out completely. I would like to have a kitchen range like this because it would be perfect for the house. Not modern but just the right age to blend in. You are certainly lucky to have this treasure. My heart jumped when I saw the pics. I bet it is a joy to prepare a meal on such a beautiful and functional stove. My hat is off to you and I bow with admiration.

What are..

measurements of this wonderful stove? How tall,how wide, the depth? This is a real beauty!!!!! I have put off plans about what to do with my kitchen until something hit me that felt right. I have to find one of these stoves. This is perfect for the house and would make the kitchen live again (I gutted out a badly installed poppy red kitchen put in 1947 with badly made scrapwood cabinets and poor drywall -God only knows what was ripped out). Any help finding one of these would be appreciated. This is exactly what my home needs.

Measurements

Go to AntiqueStoves.com (no, I'm not affiliated with this...), click on 'current inventory'. On the left, click on 'gas stoves'. Fourth range down is a 1000 with measurements. Remember, most of these really old stoves are match light ovens and tops unless pilots and safeties were added. Mine is matchlight because the lady who owned her never restored it. This stove was in her family since new (Purchased in Santa Cruz, CA.) and kept it well. I haven't touched or cleaned it yet. My kitchen isn't big enough to fit it in so I may either display her or arrange for a loving home who will restore and use...

that thing is beautiful, what a graceful lady. Anyone see the 1962 version of the Waltons when john boy gets to go to Dallas and report on JFKs death?

The upgraded Walton house had nearly the same stove, a monitor top fridge and A B&W cabinet Television.

I just love that style of stove.What a great idea to put the oven right there with the rest of the cooking. i wish i could have it. but I am in the same situation....no space.

If i had it or one like it though I might just remodle my late 90s kitchen to an earlier theme.
