1938 Frigidaire help needed

As you may remember, we rescued this unit from an estate sale months ago, and it seemd to cool well, but down to 10F at the bottom of the fridge unit. I tried recently to turn the temp to the warmest and try again, but it still cools to about 10F. Any ideas? I'm hoping there's a fix inside the thermostat unit, but didn't want to take it apart again without checking. Here are a couple of the pix that were previously posted.
