A friend brought this to my attention via Facebook link.  I don't do ranges but perhaps others are interested.

Seller wants $400.  Says the unit was restored 15 years ago and used for several years but obviously not recently.  E-mail me for who is the seller, I'm not friends w/him on Facebook but the wall post is public (18 hrs ago, don't know if it may already be sold).  Seller apparently is in Houston, says the range is in Austin.

Hopefully the burner grates and thermowell lid are in the oven. I've seen this stove listed before, it looks like it is sitting outside in the weather. Based on its apparent condition in the picture, I doubt he'll get more than $150.00 for it if that.

Yes it was...

And did anyone catch the mistake in that movie...When Hoke came in during the blizzard, he brought coffee, saying "I knew your stove would be out"..It was a Chambers gas stove!!Not electric!

Model B. My wife's Aunt had this identical range for 50 years. Doesn't look that bad, no obvious big porcelain chips, should clean up OK. Im my experience cooking on a Chambers spoils you for any other range, old OR new. Like 58limited I'd say 150-200 is fair.

In the stage play, there were very few props and the line worked. When she walked out on the stage with the lighted candle, I told my theater companion, "Ice storm." Whoever was in charge of continuity on the picture did not catch that. It could have easily been changed to coffee pot. That was not the only mistake. Ice storms are not accompanied by the snow storm wind sounds they used. If it's sleet, you hear that or you hear the sound of the rain falling, branches breaking and transformers shorting and blowing. The electrical distribution equipment going really lights up the night sky with big green flashes, sort of a southern version of the Aurora Borealis. Ice storms were one thing I was very glad to leave back in Atlanta. The line in the play gave me great pleasure because it told me that Alfred Uhry's real life character on whom the story was based had an electric stove.

One thing though was before the ice storm were they not talking about how her fried chicken was as good as Adelia's (sp) but no one could make coffee as good as her and I think she was using the electric perc.  It has been awhile since I watched the movie I'll have to watch it again for sure.  Where I live now we have the ice storms and also get the big time snow.  I would rather have 10 inches of snow than any ice.

You can tell!

She had cooked on gas in real life, when she adjusted the flame under the fried chicken, she moved the pan and looked at the flame, someone who had used an electric range would never do this!
