~1940 * Leonard fridge

This was seen at the Restore a couple years ago-had a sold sticker,i was too late-would have bought on sight otherwise...Looked it over anyway:very large,roughly spherical welded hermetic compressor with 3 knurled knobs securing the leads to the compressor terminals.As I recall, static condenser was at bottom under the compressor-possibly at an angle.*1940 date is an estimate.Anyone know these Leonard fridges ?

Kelvinator called its compressor the Polarsphere. I’m sure I’ve seen it pictures in some vintage ads from around 1940, and it was spherical, but I can’t find an example right now. Later ads picture a “Polarsphere” compressor that looks fairly conventional, more like a Tecumseh, which maybe it was.
