1940's Lady Kenmore Wringer Washer

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Just picked up a beauty! I believe it to be a 1948, but not positive...Two-tone beige and white wringer washer, Lady Kenmore 2 speed, works well, Model #6702901D00, Stock #7290, in pristine condition. If any vintage washer enthusiasts can help me with some info, would appreciate it! No rust, chrome shines, hose like new, and she sparkles. I really enjoy reading your message threads. Thank you!

I doubt that it is a 1948 if it has a two speed motor. Sounds like a really neat machine though.

Hello and congrats on your find. By the model # we can tell that it's a 1967 model. The term Lady Kenmore was first used 10 years earlier in 1957.

Pardon My Ignorance...

I did not realize ringer washers were still being made in 1967. Did later model ringer machines happen to have a spin basket or not?--Of great curiosity, Laundry Shark

Maytag and/or Speed Queen made wringers into the 1980s, IIRC. Speed Queen or a variation thereof may still be available on some world markets. A wringer machine by definition can't spin. :-)
