I have a 1941 GE refrigerator without a door handle. Have been looking everywhere for a replacement. Is there anyone out there who can hook me up with one, or knows of a salvage place that might be able to help me out? thanks

Hey Dan! You might try to get a hold of Travis from this site. If anyone would know where you might find a handle for your fridge he would. He has a whole warehouse full of refrigerators.
Mark from Festus MO here and Travis is in St. Louis.

Ted on this site has a bunch of fridges and parts. I can't remember his username, I'll e-mail him on your behalf.

Try these places. If they don't have it, they might know who has it.

This guy, The Uncertain Stoveman in Uncertain, Tx, may be retired but he might have parts. He also probably has some sources. He has a lot of literature for old fridges and stoves:

Finally, look on ebay, you might find a rough fridge that the owner will part out.

Hey, I've got a very similar 40's era GE fridge. Anybody know what kind of door gasket it takes?

It runs fine... Just needs new exterior paint. I'm thinking of replacing the 2000 KA top freezer with the GE. Send the KA to the crusher... it has a disease... the foam inside has contracted and caved in the door panels (curved stainless) and even the walls of the cabinet. Naturally, KA refused to do anything about it.
