The kitchen one has some good ideas.  I remember the flour and sugar bins in some home and also the corner susans.   I grew up in a home built in 49 and 50.

 

The second one from at&t is like yo said hoky.  It sure date with the twin beds in master bedroom.  Had to be prudes.  My folks never did that always a double.  I wonder if anyone ever did this or still do.  That dates it like the I Love Lucy shows.

 

Only time when we sleep seprate is when I one of us is not feeling well or one of us is snoring then it is sofa city.  LOL

This one also has parts right out of 101 Dalmations.
