Jamiel,

I wouldn't have either. I looked it up. It resembles no modern Premier range.
I was going to guess Crown.

Good sleuthing, Chris...I didn't see this kind of stove on Premier's website. Their current range offerings are pretty spartan looking, compared to that mid-late 1950's Eagle for sale(which looks like it's built well, as many 50's stoves). A WIKI search indicated: "The products are marketed through various retail outlets, including Best Buy, Home Depot, and AJ Madison."

On Premiere's website, history link:

"As more consolidations took place in the appliance industry for greater efficiencies, Peerless-Premier purchased the sales division of Orbon Appliance Corporation in 1985. The company marketed ranges under the Premier, Eagle, Modern Chef, Mark Royal and Heritage by Orbon labels as well as several private brands"

No connection to GE...I recall in about 1979 or so my mom was casting about for a new stove--she had the 25 inch GE spacemaker which pops up every now and again in ads. It fit the kitchen beautifully, leaving just enough room for a dishwasher between it and the sink. At that point, though, it was 25 years old (she'd gotten it second-hand) and was slightly cantankerous. She looked for anything other than a 30 inch stove and found Orbon. She ended up not replacing the stove (as I recall she didn't care for the front controls) and replacing elements/thermostat. I wonder if Eagle wasn't analogous to Monarch or Enterprise in Canada (in that it looks pretty good from an industrial design standpoint) as compared to what's being sold now by P-P.

No connection to GE,

and GE gas ranges were made by Tappan in the 80's. They had square burner grates, a mechanical digital clock, and a full flourecent light across the top.
Thats about the time Roper was sold, and Sears began sourcing ranges from GE, before also WCI Frigidaire. WCI also bought the Tappan name.
