1950's Electric Ranges and Refrigerators-----------

The warehouse in Jessup, Georgia is full of old (mostly Frigidaire) electric ranges, refrigerators and freezers. They need a good clean up and looked to me to be in very good condition under all that dust. They all had great detail and styling features. There is a Westinghouse electric range in there that has a HUGE oven! The whole front of the range is the oven door! There is a Hotpoint range from the 1920's that has to be the oldest ELECTRIC range I ever saw----in great condition!Also a few large GE Ranges. The refrigerators and freezers all have very distinctive fifties styling and some of the older ones have a great art deco look to the chrome work. There is even a MAYTAG upright freezer! (My guess is Amana made it) and two gorgeous HUGE Frigidaire chest freezers.

Jessup, Georgia is about 60 miles southwest of Savannah, Ga.,or about an easy five hour drive (southeast) from Atlanta.

Better hurry, only a week or so to keep these treasures from the krusher!

In your pictures.. wish it was not more than 12 hour drive!! I do hope some of those are saved, thanks for the heads up on it.

Seems to me that all the ranges were white. They are coated with quite a bit of dirt, as you can see from the washers we pulled out, but I don't remember seeing colors. Some of the refrigerators were just spectacular. If you are serious into kitchen appliances, you need to get down there.

Bethann the only thing in there that was pank was the 1961 Frigidaire (Clam-shell console)Washer. However, I know about your collection and rest assured if I ever come across a 1956 Frigidaire stove in pank I'll let you know right away!

I have Mabel, she's a 57. If a PANK 56 came along though I might considering selling her. Would you mind letting me know if you ran across a PANK 56 W/D! ( Right )Or at least put me in your will!
